Producer Price Statistics of Paddy at Agam Regency 2018

The purpose of developing food crop agriculture contained in the "Five Principles" of food crop agriculture, leads to efforts to increase food crop production, preserve and strengthen food self-sufficiency, increase exports and also increase, grow, evenly distribute farmers' income in integrated rural development. To achieve these objectives the government has implemented policies and operational steps in the form of developing production, fostering factors of production, processing natural resources and the environment, strengthening institutions, handling post-harvest, processing marketing products and others. The impressive increase in food production has caused various marketing problems that require special handling to ensure continuity in increasing food production. To overcome this problem, the government has set a marketing policy, including setting the price of basic grain since 1969, as a guarantee of prices to farmers so that they remain passionate in their efforts to increase production. In order to secure the basic price of grain determined by the government through Presidential Instruction, monitoring of the basic price of grain is carried out from time to time as operational data that can provide early warning systems. Price monitoring will help the government in taking the necessary steps to determine the success of the program to increase rice production. The determination of grain prices for Agam Regency is carried out in 4 (four) sample districts each month. The four sample districts consist of permanent sub-districts and mobile sub-districts (mobile). Permanent subdistricts, namely Lubuk Basung and Baso Subdistricts, while mobile sub-districts are sub-districts in the entire Agam Regency region and their records are carried out by moving from one sub-district to another in each month
